Sean的音乐主要受英国Hip Hop音乐和他对印度宝莱坞电影一些回忆的影响。如今，除了印度的歌迷以外，新加坡，马来西亚，泰国，孟加拉国和巴基斯坦地区的歌迷都非常喜欢Jay Sean的音乐。Sean最新单曲的音乐录影带在英国获得了亚洲音乐奖(Asian Music Award)的“最佳音乐录影带”大奖，其中，宝莱坞电影明星Bipasha Basu参加了这部音乐录影带的拍摄。 

Jay Sean came together with Music producer, Rishi Rich and Punjabi Singer, Juggy D during the spring of 2003 under the banner of “The Rishi Rich Project”. His first feature was on the club anthem “Dance with you (nache tere naal)” which is still played in clubs all over the world.

His debut album “Me Against Myself” sold over 300,000 units worldwide going 5 times platinum in India. His first two singles “Eyes On You” and “Stolen” were UK Top 10 singles with “Stolen” charting at Number 4.

Jay is currently in the studio recording tracks for his new album both in the UK and Stateside. he is also penning tracks for the Bhangraton project which has been done in collaboration with the Luny Tunes crew and due for release in late Spring 2007.
